Green + Chic Product Review: Golden Earth

January 15th, 2009

Need to wind down, relax, or calm a headache? Lavender essential oil (one of my personal favorites) has the ability to remove nervous tension, relieve pain, disinfect scalp and skin, enhance blood circulation and treat respiratory problems. It can also help put you to sleep. Golden Earth’s ‘Peace’ is a blend of lavender and Certified Organic  jojoba oil is great to use after showering or bathing, before bed, or whenever and wherever you need to unwind.

A little goes a long way so a few drops is all you need. Dab the oil on the wrist and the base of the throat. Rub some along the scalp line and at the temples to carry the scent with you.

Of course, this and all of the products I carry at Green and Chic are free of synthetic ingredients.

    Same with you here, Carla. I always used the Lavendar essential oil to calm down my tension and it works well for me…

    Better than Advil :)

    I’ll have to give that a try.

  5. Hi Carla:

    I tell you, I never believed in this as a cure for headaches, always prefering a pill instead until one day my son put me on to it. And my God it works and works like a charm. In fact, while you recommend rubbing it and that is probably a better way, just the smell of it calms tensions and relieves headaches! This is definitely a go.

    @Wilson – I’m glad it works for you! It definitely helps put me to sleep.

    @Gennaro – Let me know how it goes!

    @Mark – I hope you had a good weekend as well.

    @Sagan – It sure does!

    @Rag – I didn’t really believe it either until I tried it myself.

    Beside of Lavender, what else of essential oils that can calm down our nerves, Carla? :)

    I have been wanting to start using essential oils and move away from over the counter pain relievers. I have also heard great things about Lavender as well as peppermint.
